Dear Hubie,
Sorry I haven't written you in a while, but I've been very busy with school and with John and all. I wanted to tell you I saw Hubertha & we got to talking about you. WOW! She sure thinks a lot of you.

I wish you would tell John to not be mad about me asking Bob to Jimmy's party. I only asked him as a friend and it doesn't mean anything. A boy would get bored without some competition! I sure hope John asks me to the homecoming. Sometimes he's a little slow! But don't tell him I said so!
