June 27, SaturdayWorked today. The sun beating down, the sweat bees buzzing around the water jug, sweat stinging my eyes, the screech of the ears of corn as I wrench them off the cornstalks. I got off an hour early and rode my bike home and fell asleep until dinner. Jane's going to "South Pacific" tonight with Bill Braddock. I'm going down to the pool with Comstock. Won't be much fun without her being there. | ||
