August 4, Tuesday I had to stay home tonight. I called Jane and talked to her for an hour, a major accomplishment on my part, considering all the goddam trouble I used to have thinking of something to say for five minutes on the phone with Stella. Danny, Phil, and Sam called me from Kathy's. Kathy told me that Jane said she liked me better every time she went out with me. Oh baby! I got it worse than ever!
